Full description
This full-day group tour from Las Vegas takes you to two famous desert landmarks, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, while someone else handles the driving.
When you book, you'll pick Upper Antelope Canyon, Lower Antelope Canyon, or Antelope Canyon X. Each option follows its own route through the canyon's sculpted sandstone walls, so it's worth deciding which one appeals most before you reserve. Whichever you choose, the walls twist and curve like something out of a dream, glowing in shades of red, gold, and orange as light shifts through the narrow openings above. Every angle looks different, and the colors change by the hour, so no two visits are quite the same.
The day begins on the Las Vegas Strip at Treasure Island, where you board an air-conditioned coach with restrooms and Wi-Fi on board. The route passes the Virgin River Gorge and Kanab, known as Utah's Little Hollywood.
You'll also catch views of Lake Powell, the vast reservoir created by the Glen Canyon Dam, and pass the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument with its colorful rock formations and panoramic views.
Your first stop is Horseshoe Bend, where you hike out to the overlook. From this vantage point, about 1,000 feet (305 meters) up, the Colorado River bends sharply around towering cliffs far below.
Next, you'll arrive at Antelope Canyon for a guided tour of your chosen section. Your Navajo guide knows the canyon's history and geology inside out, and there are plenty of photo opportunities as you learn about the local area. The tour ends with a drop-off back in Las Vegas.
